The gala successfully raised over nine million dirhams (approximately $2.5 million) for HIV/AIDS research.
Saudi film producer Mohammed Al Turki was honored with amfAR’s Philanthropic Leadership Award, presented by actress Eva Longoria. In his acceptance speech, Al Turki praised amfAR’s commitment to eradicating AIDS and expressed gratitude to his Red Sea Film Foundation team for their support of female storytellers. The evening also saw awards presented to Richard Gere and Antonio Banderas, with performances by Kelly Rowland and Rumer Willis.
Regional talent made a strong impression on the red carpet.
