At just 22 years old, Talia Lahoud is making significant waves in the music industry with an impressive array of accomplishments. From being featured in Apple Music’s Global ‘Up Next’ campaign to joining global stars like Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Lopez in Dolby’s latest campaign, Lahoud is swiftly establishing herself as a groundbreaking artist. Her journey from posting singing covers in a small Lebanese beach town to achieving international recognition is nothing short of remarkable.

Lahoud’s musical career began at an early age, sparked by her participation in an elementary school musical. This formative experience ignited a passion for music that has driven her ever since. Her debut EP, “Gharibi,” released earlier this year, showcases her ability to blend classical influences with contemporary pop. Co-produced with Jamal Yassine, the EP reflects Lahoud’s unique talent for merging Arabic and Western musical styles. Her sound is inspired by a diverse range of artists, from Fairouz and Andrea Bocelli to Olivia Rodrigo, resulting in a rich, eclectic style that pushes the boundaries of Arabic pop music.

In discussing her musical influences, Lahoud notes that her background in both Western and Arabic music has greatly facilitated her ability to harmonize these elements. Having initially sung in English and French, she dedicated herself to learning Arabic music around the age of 17. This dual expertise allows her to create a seamless blend of genres, enriching her songs with deep emotional and cultural layers.

Lahoud’s debut EP, “Gharibi,” holds significant personal meaning for her. The EP’s message is one of self-acceptance and embracing individuality, aimed at listeners who might feel out of place or different. Through her music, Lahoud encourages people to love themselves and celebrate their uniqueness, turning what might be perceived as flaws into strengths.

The music video for “Gharibi” was inspired by Lahoud’s desire to create something visually distinctive and artistic. The chosen location in Tripoli, with its unique architecture, complements the song’s essence, resulting in a visually compelling representation of her music.

Looking ahead, Lahoud is enthusiastic about continuing to grow both as an artist and as an individual. The music industry has taught her the values of hard work and discipline, and she eagerly anticipates connecting with people worldwide who share her passion for music. She offers advice to aspiring musicians to remain true to themselves, emphasizing that authenticity is what sets an artist apart.

Lahoud also acknowledges the challenges of creativity, admitting that there are days when it’s difficult to produce or write music. Despite occasional self-doubt, she remains confident in her ability to reach a global audience with her work.

Her recent involvement in Dolby’s global campaign further highlights her growing influence. Working with Dolby allowed Lahoud to experience her music in Dolby Atmos, sharing her message of embracing one’s true self on a global platform. Looking to the future, Lahoud aspires to collaborate with both Eastern and Western artists who inspire her, including dream collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Nancy Ajram.

Through her career, Lahoud aims to be remembered as someone who embraced her cultural heritage and inspired others through dedication and passion. Her journey from humble beginnings to international acclaim serves as a testament to her talent and determination, proving that anyone, regardless of their background, can achieve their dreams.
