Nico Parker has always had a special relationship with Chanel, a connection that started long before she became the brand’s newest ambassador. Speaking from Paris after attending the Spring/Summer 2025 show, the Suncoast and Last of Us actor recalls her early fascination with the iconic fashion house.
Growing up with a mother who owned several classic Chanel pieces, Parker’s childhood was filled with images of her attempting to wear her mom’s heels and bags, often humorously oversized for her small frame. “Any Chanel bag my mom owned felt like the most important thing in the house. I definitely did a lot of stealing!” she laughs, reminiscing about the fashion shows she would put on in her mom’s room, proudly showcasing the luxurious accessories.
That playful spirit hasn’t faded. Just before the show, Parker found herself borrowing one of her mother’s treasured bags for her fitting. “The team recognized it instantly and knew it was my mom’s because I wouldn’t have access to it otherwise. To this day, I’m still going to steal her timeless Chanel classics!”
For the show, Parker donned a chic black cotton and cashmere dress paired with a striking black-and-white fantasy tweed coat from the Chanel Cruise 2024–25 collection. She accessorized with Coco Crush rings and earrings, adding a stylish “cool Chanel belt” that she humorously admitted she wanted to “steal” as well.
Comfort plays a crucial role in Parker’s personal style. “I prioritize comfort because it shows when someone isn’t at ease in their clothes. It’s really attractive to see someone comfortable in their own skin,” she explains. She believes that fashion should reflect individual style rather than merely following trends, emphasizing the importance of wearing what truly resonates with one’s vibe.
Reflecting on the recent collection, designed by the Chanel Creative Studio in the absence of an artistic director since Virginie Viard stepped down, Parker appreciated its “flirty and fun” feminine energy. She was particularly struck by a pastel two-piece that left her gasping in excitement during the show. “I felt bad for the people next to me because I was making quite a lot of noise, saying, ‘Oh my god, that’s amazing!’” she shares, acknowledging that her reactions likely mirrored those of everyone around her—after all, it was Chanel.
With a lifelong affinity for the brand and a newfound role as its ambassador, Parker’s journey with Chanel is just beginning, and it’s clear that her love for the house runs deep.
