Saudi’s Milaf Cola, Made from Dates, Officially Launches in the UAE

A cola made entirely from dates has just landed in the UAE — and it’s making waves across the region. Meet Milaf Cola, a sparkling beverage from Saudi Arabia that contains no added sugar and uses Ajwa dates as its only sweetener.

Created by Al Madinah Heritage Company, the brand is supported by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, a clear sign that this isn’t just a trend — it’s part of a larger effort to highlight regional heritage and promote sustainable innovation.

Milaf Cola is more than just a health-conscious drink. It represents a shift in how local ingredients can be used in new, innovative ways. The dates used in the drink are grown in the Madinah region, and are known not only for their natural sweetness but also for their nutritional value — including fiber and antioxidants.

What sets Milaf Cola apart is its unique combination of heritage and wellness. While soft drinks are typically made with refined sugar or artificial sweeteners, Milaf Cola uses surplus dates that wouldn’t otherwise be sold, giving them a second life in a way that reduces food waste and supports sustainable agriculture.

The result is a beverage that offers a familiar fizzy taste, with a refreshing twist rooted in tradition and local sourcing.

    Now Available in the UAE

After gaining attention in Saudi Arabia and on social media, Milaf Cola is now available across the UAE. Consumers can find it at Al Maya Supermarkets or order it online through the Noon app.

Whether you’re interested in wellness-focused products, sustainable choices, or simply looking to try something new, Milaf Cola offers an alternative to conventional sodas — one that aligns with both regional culture and global trends in health-conscious living.
