Porsche has teamed up with Almond Surfboards to launch a limited-edition surfboard collection that captures the essence of Southern California’s surf culture alongside Porsche’s automotive heritage. Handcrafted in Costa Mesa, California, the boards feature iconic Porsche 911 colors from the 1960s, including Bahama Yellow, Polo Red, and Irish Green, as well as the famous Pink Pig racing livery.
Each surfboard is individually numbered and can be customized with racing numbers. Available in two sizes—7’10” Cash-Yew II and 9’11” Surf Thumb longboard—the boards are made from polyurethane foam and wrapped in a fiberglass shell. They come equipped with a hand-foiled single fin and include a wooden wall bracket for display.
Complementary Apparel and Accessories
The collection also features an apparel capsule inspired by the theme “Single Fins & Air Cooled Engines.” This range includes t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and accessories like caps and keychains. Karsten von Engeln, President and CEO of Porsche Design of America, emphasized that the collaboration honors Porsche’s deep-rooted connection to California, while Dave Allee, founder of Almond Surfboards, praised the partnership for its shared commitment to craftsmanship and timeless design.
Availability and Pricing
The surfboards and accompanying merchandise are available now through Porsche’s official online shop, with prices ranging from $15 to $5,500 USD. This unique collaboration seamlessly blends automotive passion with surf culture, appealing to enthusiasts of both worlds.
