Saudi Arabia has announced the removal of commercial activity license fees for hotels, hotel apartments, and residential resorts, effective September 4. This initiative, part of the tourism investment enabler program launched in March, aims to transform the Kingdom into a leading global tourism hub.
The decision aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, a strategic initiative aimed at diversifying the economy away from oil dependence and enhancing the country’s appeal as a tourist destination. By eliminating these fees, Saudi Arabia seeks to attract more investment in the tourism sector, significantly increasing its contribution to the national GDP.
